Happy Father's Day Dave!

We had a very relaxing Father's Day! Since we had just returned from a week-long vacation late the Saturday night before, our first order of business on Father's Day was to do some grocery shopping! Dave picked out a fun breakfast treat for him/us to enjoy (yummy cinnamon rolls!)! And that was just the beginning of the gifts....Katelyn got herself a T-shirt that read "Daddy's Cupcake" for Father's Day, and she also got daddy a package of powdered donuts (a favorite treat of his!) and a half-gallon of Blue Bell ice cream (another favorite). I might add too that the Blue Bell was on sale for $3.00...and for Dave, the fact that Katelyn and I got such a bargain is a whole other gift in itself!!

We also had a photo collage made using the pictures below that were taken during our family portrait photo shoot at Sears! Dave now has the photo collage framed and sitting in his office.

Dave is such a wonderful father (and husband!), and we are so thankful to the Lord for blessing us with his love, humor, heart, and smarts!

A Fun Time Had By All!

We made it back from Martha's Vineyard safely, and since pictures are worth a thousand words, we hope you enjoy the essay below!

The view from our porch...the slow pace of "island living" at its best!

Visiting the Gay Head Lighthouse, a popular tourist attraction

Dave and Jason decided to take up windsurfing while we were there! Here is Dave!

We bought lobsters from a man who caught them fresh that day! Jason and Carrie gave us a crash coarse in how to pick them apart and eat them....the RIGHT way!

Our first sunset of the trip....and the rest were just as (if not more!) beautiful!

Katelyn, Ben (22 months), and Conor (6 months) all played so well together!

The Lampmans arranged for a babysitter to come watch the kids one night, and we all went on a double date! What a treat!

We celebrated Dave's 31st birthday on June 9! Carrie made a delicious chocolate cake (Dave's favorite!).

Katelyn really enjoyed her first trip to the beach! The water was very cold, but it didn't seem to bother her! Enjoy the video below...

Martha's Vineyard Here We Come!!

We leave this Saturday for Baltimore, Maryland to visit our good friends Jason and Carrie Lampman and their sweet little boys Ben and Conor! After staying a night at their home, we will all travel to Martha's Vineyard where Carrie's family owns property! We feel honored to enjoy the company of our dear friends while also enjoying such a neat vacation spot! While we are gone, we will be celebrating Dave's 31st birthday on June 9! We return on June 14 and look forward to sharing a full report and pictures with you!

Kristen Turned 30 on the 30th!!

I turned 30 on May 30th, and we celebrated by having a little party at the house with a few family and friends! I can't say that 30 feels much different...sounds more mature, but other than that, no changes!

Kristen's dad had to work so he wasn't able to make the party, but he sent a "stand-in." This cardboard cut out has been part of the Bradberry family for quite a few years, and we love it because it always makes us feel like dad is still sharing in the fun, even if he has to work!

The granny relay! Kristen's mom was leaving and Dave's mom just arrived...they were making the Katelyn hand-off!

We played the old-fashioned party game, "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," and it was so fun to watch grown adults play this timeless kids game!
