Katelyn's Dance Recital!

Katelyn had her Spring dance recital in May, and they showed off their tap skills!  She looked adorable and performed wonderfully!  Way to go Katelyn!

Spring Break 2015!

We had a super fun Spring Break!  We went to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and got up close and personal with our fair share of safari animals!

First things first....check into the hotel!  The girls loved getting to stay in a hotel...it's the little things in life. :)

Second things second....Dinner at Babe's Chicken in Glenrose, TX.  The girls got to do the hokey pokey with the wait staff!

  

 A quick stop at the Dinosaur Valley State Park visitor's center!  It was a little rainy for a day-long visit to the actual park.

Snow Days....

We had some crazy weather this past winter AND spring!  Lots of snow/ice days=lots of fun=not a lot of school!

Anna's First Trip to the Dentist

Yay!  Anna had a very successful first trip to the dentist!  She actually went on "Super Hero" day....all the staff were dressed as super heroes.  So appropriate since Anna was quite the super hero herself! 

Rookie of the Week!

In January, Katelyn was chosen from all four of the first grade classes as the Rookie of the Week.  One student is chosen from each grade level each week of school, and this is an honor given to a student who has stood out in some way to his/her teachers.  Congratulations Katelyn!  We are so proud of you! 

The picture above is hung on the bulletin board near the front of the school, and stays there for the rest of the year, as other students are added.  Katelyn is pictured at the far right, and this is what is said by her name:

Chickfest!

Every year since 2002, a few girlfriends and I have gathered for a fun time of fellowship, sleeping in, laughing, eating, laughing, and eating....and laughing!  This year, we took advantage of my parents going on a cruise and "house sat" for them while they were gone.  We had a great time (and Dave had a good time with the girls while I was gone!).
