Since We've Been Back: Week 1

Many of you have e-mailed showing a great interest in how you might be able to serve and wanting to know what we have been up to since we've arrived back in America. Thank you for your support and encouragement! We are finally able (and excited!) to catch you up....

June 5-11: Landed in Dallas and were met at the airport by Kristen's mom and youngest sister and our dear friends James and Dangela Hill (and cute daughter Molly!). We then headed straight from the airport to Denton where we had a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our good friends, Bethany and Jeff Flint (and their new son Micah), who live in Washington State but were visting family in Texas! We were able to time our return to see them before they headed back to Washington, and our time together was such a blessing! We also stayed this particular week with our dear friends, Jamie and Jenny Hipp (and their new daughter Jordan). It was such a great transition time for us, as the Hipps have both lived in East Asia before and were able to relate to many of the transitions and adjustments we were experiencing.

June 9: HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY DAVE! We met Dave's mom in Waxahachie for a fun birthday lunch at the Catfish Plantation! We were even served free peach cobbler in honor of Dave's special day! Later that evening, the Hills hosted a small gathering at their home in Dallas--complete with pizza, salad, soft drinks, birthday decor, Blue Bell ice cream, and an absolutely delicious (and huge!) birthday cake! Our friends Kyle and Jill Scott (and their sweet son Brodie!) came straight from a Rangers game to celebrate with us as well!
