Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter! Our two dinner guests had to cancel at the last minute due to the wife being sick, so it was just the five of us (me, Dave, Katelyn, Anna, and Brittany). It was a great day celebrating our Risen Savior! We went on a couple of family walks, did some Easter egg hunting, ate at yummy lunch, and just relaxed. We actually went to an Easter service on the Saturday evening before Easter, so Sunday truly was a day of rest!

During the months of February to early April, instead of reciting their weekly memory verse in class, the students learned and memorized the seven colors of faith (see Katelyn reciting the colors in the video below) and made their very own salvation cross.

For those of you who want to follow along, here are the words: YELLOW! God's perfect light. BLACK! Represents sin....Ewww! RED! Jesus' blood that was shed for us. WHITE! The cleansing of our sins. GREEN! The new life we have in Jesus. BLUE! Baptized with Jesus. PURPLE! The crown of Life.

Praise the Lord for His great love for us. May the truth of these words sink deep into her little heart and take root in His time.

What a talented young lady Katelyn is. Good memorizing and what a clever way to remember our salvation.
The girls look so cute in their Easter dresses and looks like Anna is ready to "take off". She's really getting around now I'm sure.
